i decided to stop reading about the fifth post....but i highly recommend the jade sisters restaurant. great oriental food, and the chicken teriyaki is TO DIE FOR! they serve that stuff on a wooden plank with the pan still sizzling and you can see the sauce bubbling from cooking....i make it a priority to go there every time i'm in town there...so if anyone wants to go with me on friday afternoon, let me know! (i went on saturday last year and totally screwed myself out of a VERY good time....*sad panda face*)

also, if interested, i'll post a link with directions to and from the restaurant

No, the chance of finding a place that's not in the middle of no where that'll let you use fire is slim to none.  I mean, yeah someone's house, but it's pretty dang short timed to ask :/

The Marriot is just off 1st ave which has all your standard fast food places if your just looking to eat something.  If your looking for something a bit nicer you can keep going on 1st ave and get onto the main coralville strip (2nd street) which has some good eatings on the way.  Jade Sisters is there and Mondo's too is a personal favorite.
